The install is still docker compose up

Postgres, the Go ingest, the dashboard. One file. If the product needs a salesperson to turn on, the privacy claims are already downstream of procurement.

Hosted Vector 5 is invite-only because operating other people’s Postgres is a job. The software is not. The repository’s Compose file starts the API and the web app against a local database. Point DNS, add the script, add the middleware, publish the manifest. That is the path we will keep working even if the hosted product grows a pricing page.

AGPL on the server means improvements to ingest and rollups come back. MIT on the tracker, middleware, MCP, and skills means embedding those pieces does not license your product. The split is the install story: run our server, or speak its edges from yours.

If you cannot take the database with you, you do not have analytics. You have a tenancy.
