One dropdown. Every report.

human, human_via_ai, ai_crawler, ai_agent, bot, or all. Visitors, pages, sources, countries, devices, goals — the same filter, everywhere.

Five ceramic spheres in a line: white, blue, amber, green, gray
Five actors. One control. No hidden second taxonomy.

A field nobody can filter is decoration. Vector 5 puts actor on every event and the same dropdown on every report. Ask for humans and the live count, the line, the geo, and the goals all answer as humans. Ask for crawlers and you get fetches, not a “bot” bucket that mixed Pingdom with GPTBot.

  • human — a browser visitor, daily hash, no cookie.
  • human_via_ai — the same person, arrived from an assistant.
  • ai_crawler — a model fetching HTML, recorded by middleware.
  • ai_agent — headless automation with a task.
  • bot — monitors, previews, generic spiders. Excluded from human metrics by default.

The colour language is the same in the dashboard and on this site: white, steel-blue, amber, green, muted. If a new actor appears, it gets a name and a filter — not a regex in a notebook.

If you cannot slice a KPI by actor, you do not have an actor model. You have a label.
