The empty dashboard is the product
Vector 5 never seeds sample traffic. Until a real pageview or crawler hit arrives, the blanks stay blank. That is the privacy model showing its work.

Most analytics demos are a fiction with rounded corners: 12,482 visitors, a cheerful line, a map that looks busy. Someone invented those people so the screenshot would convert. Vector 5’s public demo for vector5.ai shows dashes until the site is actually hit. The live page says so.
That is not a missing feature. Invented traffic trains you to ignore the numbers. It also makes the privacy story harder: if we will fake a visitor for marketing, why believe we will not keep one for “product analytics”?
What you see instead
- KPIs that read “no data yet” rather than a plausible lie.
- A labelled sample panel when we need to show layout — never mixed with live counts.
- The same cannot-know list the dashboard will keep once the numbers exist.
A dashboard that will invent a visitor will invent a reason to keep one.
